Amazon.com to make available ebooks on mobile devices
Amazon.com already is a major player in the ebook reader market with their Kindle device.
The online retailing giant also sells ebooks on their store for the Kindle device.
Amazon has now announced that they are soon going to offer their ebooks for mobile devices.
A company representative said that they are working on making Kindle books available “on a range of mobile phones.”
Few details are available right now.
Incidentally, Amazon owns Mobipocket which already sells ebooks for a variety of mobile phones.
Google too has jumped into this market by making available a mobile edition of Google Book Search. Mobile users can use this engine to get access to free ebooks from mobile browsers.
