Blinkx launches video suggestion feature on its service
Blinkx has announced that they have launched a new feature on their video search service.
The company said that they are now going to suggest other videos based on the video a user is watching at any given time.
Blinkx CEO Suranga Chandratillake spoke about the new features: “We’re adding functionality to the front page to help people who don’t know what they’re looking for, so that we can help them discover videos they’re not aware of already.”
The new buttons are labeled “Inform Me” and “Entertain Me”. These would deliver news and entertainment clips, respectively.
The videos would be picked up by the company’s clustering and analysis technology.
