youtube-dl: command-line program to download YouTube videos
Developer Ricardo Garcia Gonzalez has made available a script that can be used from command line to download videos from YouTube.
It requires the Python interpreter so the script can basically run on a lot of platforms.
It is however easiest to use on the Linux platform as it usually comes preloaded with the interpreter.
