Orb Networks has announced that they have launched a new version of OrbLive for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

This new application is designed to provide access to live TV media recording. Users also get access to thousands of Internet television and radio stations.

Orb Networks CEO Joe Costello spoke about this new mobile application: “Everyone who buys an iPhone wants a kick-ass media experience while they are on the go. Unfortunately, most of the media vendors have been unable to extend their applications to the Apple mobile platform.”

The company claims that over 200,000 customers have already downloaded this application on their iPhones or iPod touch.

It also enables the users to record videos on their iPhone which is a feature not provided by Apple.

Costello added: “Orb just delivered the 4th real release of OrbLive, and today it is enjoyed by over 200,000 customers who have been actually enjoying live TV on the iPhone.”
