Mozilla & Yandex collaborates for Firefox in Russia

Google has been one of the biggest supporters of Firefox web browser. However, they are now a challenger with the launch of the Chrome web browser.

Google also showed the changed scenario when they replaced Firefox with Chrome in their Google Pack application.

Now, Mozilla is hitting back. They have entered into a deal with Yandex in Russia and Firefox in this country would offer Yandex as the default search engine instead of Google.

Google has been the default search engine provider for Firefox since the very beginning.

Google Search would move from position 1 to position 2. The change is only applicable on the Russian language edition of Firefox and users would be as usual free to change their default search engine provider.
