Warner Music Group to use Cisco EOS social platform

Networking industry giant Cisco has just launched their Eos platform which is basically a set of online tools which can be added to an existing website to make it more social.

Warner Music Group is one of the first companies to announce their plans to use this platform on their network.

The company announced that they would begin by implementing this platform on the sites for Atlantic artists Laura Izibor and Sean Paul.

WMG executive vice president of digital strategy and business development Michael Nash added in a statement: “As the Web shifts from the enterprise to the consumer in terms of where the traffic is coming from, the social media revolution — which is all about fans interacting with artists — is going to provide an enormous opportunity. This is a recognition that having a social media strategy is not just about partnering with social networks, but it’s also about what we do with our direct-to-consumer efforts.”

Cisco EOS comes with extra features like data analytics, content management and site administration capabilities.
