Apple iLife updated to new version at MacWorld

Apple has now launched a new edition of Apple iLife application suite which comes loaded with each Apple Mac.

Apple iPhoto 09

This new edition comes with a new feature named Faces. The application uses facial recognition technologies to identify people in images and tag them properly.

It also comes with Places feature. Users can now organize their images using geotags to sort their images as per the locations they were taken at.

Apple has also integrated iPhoto with Facebook and Flickr services. Apple iPhoto can now automatically export photos to Facebook. Data uploaded on Flickr is carried back to iPhoto database.

Apple iMovie 09

Apple said that they have added depth and power to this new edition of Apple iMovie. They have added a new precision editor which features an expanded timeline view for advanced users.

The application also now comes with video stabilization technology which improves the quality of exported movies.

Apple GarageBand 09

Apple has also updated GarageBand application as part of this new release. GarageBand comes with Learn to Play section which features videos of instructors offering you lessons in how to play musical instruments. These can be downloaded as per the requirements.

In addition, Apple has also added new features and enhancements to other applications in this suite: iWeb and iDVD.
