BBC iPlayer on Linux and Mac now
UK based media giant BBC has announced the launch of their iPlayer application for Linux and Apple Mac OS X users.
This is a pretty significant development as BBC is now using Adobe Air technology to deliver its media content.
Adobe has just released the first stable edition of Adobe Air for Linux users.
The iPlayer application would allow the customers of BBC to download their favorite shows on to their PCs and watch them as per their convenience.
BBC had to delay the iPlayer for Mac and Linux as they were hunting for a DRM powered solution that worked on all the three popular platforms.
Adobe Air has enabled them to deliver it now.
