SlingPlayer would soon be on Blackberry!

Sling Media has announced that they are soon going to launch their SlingPlayer application for the RIM Blackberry platform.

This application would be launched for some of the Blackberry models before the end of the year.

Sling Media said that the initial version would support following Blackberry models:

Blackberry Bold
Blackberry Curve 8900
Blackberry 8320
Blackberry 8820
Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220
Blackberry Pearl 8120

These devices would then be able to stream digital media from the Slingbox device.

The application would however require the users to have Blackberry device software 4.5 or higher.

It would be free for a limited time period.

Sling Media recommends that the application should be used over Wi-Fi connectivity. It can also work with high speed data plans.
