Adobe updates Adobe Air for Linux

Adobe has now released the first stable edition of Adobe Air for the Linux platform.

With this Adobe Air is now on the same performance levels on Windows, Macs and Linux.

The updated edition of Adobe Air for Linux provides full support for Adobe Flash 10 technology.

Adrian Ludwig, Adobe’s product manager for platform said in a statement that the company now aims to keep providing updates for all the three platforms together.

He added: “Less than 2 percent of clients are using Linux. It’s challenging to deliver applications to such a small market.”

The only disappointing aspect of this news is that the application is compatible on some platforms. These include Ubuntu 7.1 and higher, Fedora 8.1 and higher, and Open SUSE 10.3 and higher.
