iPhone Dev Team promises iPhone 3G unlock before new year
iPhone Dev Team has announced that they plan to release their under development unlock code for the Apple iPhone 3G before the end of the year.
This unlock code would enable the owners of iPhone 3G model to use their devices with any mobile service provider.
Apple has been offering unlocked iPhones in some markets but they retail at a very high price. Other editions are locked to a single carrier.
Sources are already indicating that Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5.6 update has a block code for applications like PwnageTool and QuickPwn which are used to jailbreak the iPhone for installing unofficial third party applications.
