Palm launches Software Store for its devices

Palm has become the latest smartphone maker to launch a mobile app store for their customers.

They have named their store Software Store.

The company said that the Palm Software Store currently hosts around 5,000 applications and games.

These can be downloaded on Palm devices running either Windows Mobile or Palm OS.

Palm said that a lot of these applications are available for free. These can be run on most of their current products including Centro and Treo Pro.

The store can be installed for free on the mobile devices. The company is providing a 25% discount coupon on the first paid application bought on the store.
