Microsoft loses James Hamilton to Amazon
James Hamilton is a a former data-center futures architect at Microsoft. He has now left the software giant to join Amazon.
He would now become a vice president distinguished engineer at Amazon Web Services.
Amazon has become one of the leading players in the cloud computing services market. Microsoft is a rather newcomer to this segment.
He would start working in Amazon starting next month.
Hamilton said in a posting on his Microsoft page that he had a “super-interesting time at Microsoft” and that leaving the company is “tough.”
Microsoft recently announced their Windows Azure Services Platform which is designed to run on web services to power cloud based services.
