WordPad Text Converter for Word 97 has flaws
Microsoft has said that they are now looking into the reports stating that their WordPad Text Converter for Word 97 has security bugs.
A company representative said in a blog post that the company is aware of very limited and targeted attacks seeking to exploit this vulnerability.
A Microsoft advisory added that the flaw only affects users of Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
it does not affect the users of Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008.
Microsoft added that they would take appropriate actions to fix this flaw as and when they are ready with a solution.
