Indian Courts asked to ban Google Earth in the country
Google Earth is again becoming the target of a stupid argument.
A court in India is being asked to ban the popular global mapping application Google Earth.
It is being claimed that the service was used by terrorists to plan the last month’s attack in Mumbai
That attack resulted in death of around 170 people including some high profile businessman and cops.
Advocate Amit Karkhanis said in his appeal that the application was used by the terrorists in plotting this attack.
He has also asked the courts to instruct Google to blur images of sensitive areas in the country while the case proceeds.
