Intuit launches QuickBooks for Mac 2006

Software Company Intuit has launched the latest version of their application QuickBooks for Mac 2006. QuickBooks is a small business accounting and financial management software application for Mac OS X and the latest version would retail for around US$199.95. using this software application, Mac users can create estimates, invoices and purchase orders, pay bills, track inventory, track employee time and job costs.

QuickBooks senior product manager Peggy Chang spoke about this update: “With this release, we’ve focused efforts on saving customers time”. Some of the new enhancements are to compliment the new features of the Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger operating system for Macintosh. This means QuickBooks now support Spotlight search feature and Tiger’s Sync Services.

Now, users can also synchronize business contacts between QuickBooks, Address Book, and iSync 2.1-compatible handheld devices like cell phones and PDAs. Mac users can now also share data with Windows users enabling them to exchange information with a PC-using accountant making their lives even more easier.

Hardware requirement for QuickBooks for Mac 2006 stands at: G3 or faster, Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, 128MB RAM, 100MB hard disk space, 1024 x 768 display.

    Until Intuit releases their own payroll module, this accounting package is incomplete. Small businesses need it and Aatrix Top Pay or Paycycle is not the answer. Many small businesses want to control their own payroll. Intuit is not listening. Sad.

    I sure hope they added online banking, so that I can reconcile my checking account and credit card purchases electronically….
