Muxlim.com set to go online
Internet’s first Muslim-friendly virtual world Muxlim.com is all set to go online.
This service has been named Muxlim Pal and it is designed specifically for Muslims living in western countries to connect with each other.
Muxlim chief executive Mohamed El-Fatatry spoke about this new service: “Muxlim Pal is just another channel for our users to socialize, have fun and express themselves using social media in a safe and friendly atmosphere.”
This service is somewhat different from other virtual worlds like Second Life as it would not allow content portraying violence, drugs, sexual references or profanity.
El-Fatatry added: “We are not trying to segregate anybody; we are trying to build a platform for Muslims to have a voice and dialogue with others.”
