Imitation’s the Best Form of Flattery

The world seems to have come to a stage where imitation has not only become the tool to flatter but a way to survive in the competitive environment of today. Toyota F1 car of this season is called a direct replica of the Ferrari 2003 GA. MSN toolbar is a direct replica of Google Toolbar. Google is starting a free email service that is of course based on the basic principle of hotmail, the first mailing service that was free and worked off the browser. Yahoo replicated Google PR with its own WebRank. Its toolbar too offer almost all the services that are provided by Google albeit it has bookmarks, mail and other totally new entries. Google lack these and hope to catch up with GMail as the first step!
When will we see a new innovative idea to hit the web? I am waiting!
