Opera 10 Alpha released!
Opera Software have released the first public alpha of their upcoming Opera 10 release.
Opera 10 is going to be a major update to this elite web browser product.
Opera 10 would include some major enhancements which makes it a must have update for existing users.
It comes with the new updated Presto 2.2 rendering engine which the company claim provides significant improvements in speed, performance and security.
Opera is also claiming that this new edition is around 30% faster on real world applications like Gmail and Facebook.
Opera 10 also scores 100/100 score on Acid3 test. It also has support for Web Fonts in addition to RGBA/HSLA color.
SVG support has also been enhanced in this new release.
Opera 10 also comes with inline spell check. The current versions required the user to conduct the spell check manually.
Opera 10 also has an auto-update functionality similar to Mozilla Firefox. Current version just alerted the user when an update was available.
They have also added full HTML support to the e-mail component of Opera.
Overall, it’s expected to be a great release. Get the Alpha edition of Opera 10 here!
One good news for old Opera users. The company has not played around with shortcuts this time around.
