Windows Vista Service Pack 2 testing expanded

Microsoft has said that they are now ready for a broader beta testing of the upcoming Windows Vista Service Pack 2 update.

This service pack release is however not recommended for everyone.

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 would come with bug fixes and feature enhancements.

Microsoft has added support for Blu-ray, Bluetooth 2.1 and it also comes with Windows Search 4.0.

Microsoft VP Mike Nash spoke about this beta release: “The (test version) is intended for technology enthusiasts, developers, and IT Pros who would like to test Service Pack 2 in their environments and with their applications prior to final release. For most customers, our best advice would be to wait until the final release prior to installing this service pack.

Microsoft aims to ship this service pack within the first half of next year.
