Adobe Flash most popular for watching online videos
Google YouTube uses Adobe Flash for streaming videos online.
This alone could be responsible for the popularity of this format for online video watching.
ComScore has released their report which states that Adobe Flash technology powers eighty-one per cent of worldwide online videos.
The Flash plugin is installed on 98 per cent of Internet-connected desktops worldwide. It is also becoming a common feature on mobile devices (iPhone excluded).
Adobe recently released Adobe Media Interactive Server 3.5 and Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5.
This could further boost the popularity of this format for online video watching services.
