Secunia PSI is in version 1.0 now!

Secunia has released the first final release of their PSI application.

Secunia PSI 1.0 is now available for download.

The beta versions of the application had been under public testing for around 17 months.

This application has already been awarded the first rank on the ‘Ten free security utilities you should already be using’ list by Zdnet.

Secunia CEO, Niels Henrik Rasmussen spoke at the release of version 1 of this utility: “We are very optimistic about the Secunia Personal Software Inspector. The one and a half year since we introduced the first beta has daily confirmed to me that Secunia PSI holds a remarkably big potential. We have had overwhelming many beta testers and the press has given Secunia PSI a lot of very positive attention. I believe that Software Inspectors have the potential of becoming a must-install on all PC’s in line with anti-virus and personal firewalls.”

Rasmussen added: “The Personal Software Inspector is free for private users and is Secunia’s contribution to world-wide IT-security. We will constantly continue to improve Secunia PSI to enhance security for all PC users and will continue to offer Secunia PSI free of charge in a full and unlimited version. It is our ambition to bring Secunia PSI to all PC users to ensure that everybody keeps their systems up-to-date”.
