Microsoft: No job cuts planned
Microsoft seems to be one of the few exceptions today. The company has said that they have no plans to cut any jobs.
The US based software giant said that they are in fact planning to add workers in the coming year.
Microsoft’s Craig Mundie said: “Right now we’re still on a plan to complete 100 percent of our college recruitment plan globally. The ability to get top talent has actually improved”.
He added: “Our position at this point is that we hope to continue to actually still have some growth in our employment through the course of the year. But we’re monitoring the situation carefully.”
The company is hoping to benefit from the current market scenario. They believe new generation of software is fully capable of helping corporates cut their costs. Technologies like VoIP and video conferencing is perfect for these scenarios.
