BdEmailer comes to Apple iPhone

BdEmailer is one of the newer applications that has arrived in the Apple App Store.

The developers claim that this application is the first wide email iPhone app that supports client SMTP.

Nothing extraordinary except for the fact that it duplicates the functionality on the Apple Mail app that is already shipped with the iPhone.

Apple has in the past rejected applications on the basis of this similar fact.

The company stated that they do not want applications providing duplicate functionality on the App Store to prevent user confusion.

MailWrangler and Podcaster are two popular applications which were rejected on this ground. Yet the company managed to approve BdEmailer which should have been blocked if we consider the Apple’s previous opinions.
