Google might get into deals to pre-install Chrome on new PCs

Google aims to release the first final edition of Google Chrome web browser in January next year.

The company would then get into deals to get Chrome pre-installed on new PCs.

Google VP, Product Management, Sundar Pichai said in a statement that they aim to make Chrome the choice for the everyday user.

And this would require them to get PC manufacturers to ship it with new computers.

He said: “We could work with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and have them ship computers with Chrome pre-installed.”

Google just need to make sure that the first final edition of Chrome is stable enough for anyone who wants to surf around the web.

He also mentioned that they are aiming to make available the Linux and Mac edition of Chrome early next year.
