Facebook to charge an annual fee for official stamp of verification for third party applications
Social networking service Facebook has announced that they are making available a new program that would enable third party developers to get an official stamp of verification for their applications hosted on the service.
The company claims that this approval would benefit them as the users would be able to trust the application and the provider of the service.
This official stamp of verification would however come with an yearly fee which is not being appreciated by the developers.
Developers say that this fee would put the smaller app makers at a disadvantage as they might not be able to pay for the service.
Facebook is charging US$375 annual fee for each application for this approval stamp.
