Beta version of Moonlight coming up
Microsoft and Novell are all set to announce the beta version of Moonlight.
Moonlight is the Linux’s implementation of Microsoft Silverlight technology.
The two companies are also going to announce the general release of Advanced Management Pack for SuSe Linux Enterprise for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.
Microsoft and Novell announced their collaboration way back in 2006.
The deal was heavily criticized in the market as open source advocates felt it went against the ideas of the OSS.
Microsoft and Novell said said that the Moonlight project would provide a plugin for the Mozilla Firefox web browser on the Linux platform.
