Apple Safari uses Google powered anti-phishing tools
Apple recently launched Safari 3.2 web browser update.
One of the new features in this release was the addition of anti-phishing tools which warns the user if he visits a harmful website.
Apple is using the database provided by Google for this service.
The company has not given any details on this service works. However, the warning messages on malicious sites give user the links to service hosted on Google network.
Some market sources claim that Apple is using the database provided by both Google and PhishTank which is powered by OpenDNS service.
Apple was criticized for not having this ability in their Safari web browser. They have now fixed that.
