Adobe Systems to launch fully functional Flash for mobile devices
Adobe has been making available a light edition of Adobe Flash for mobile devices.
However as the technology is advancing and people now want full web on their mobile devices, the company is working on bringing the fully functional Adobe Flash technology on mobile devices.
Adobe Chief Technology Officer Kevin Lynch said in a statement: “We are midst of evolving Flash Player 10 for mobile. We’re taking the full Flash Player and making that run on the higher end of the mobile market.”
They need to do this to prevent rivals from taking their dominating place in the mobile market.
Microsoft has been working on Silverlight for Mobiles. Sun has been working on mobile JAVA.
The company displayed the technology working on several platforms including Nokia’s Symbian operating system, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile, and Google’s Android operating system.
They are yet to impress Apple to make Flash available for Apple iPhone.
