Serena Software to use Google Apps instead of Microsoft Exchange
Serena Software has announced that they are now going to move their email from Microsoft Exchange to Google Apps hosted Gmail.
The company expects to save $750,000 per year by removing their dependence on Microsoft Exchange.
Serena has around 800 employees.
They expect to complete the transformation by the end of the year.
This is a major win for Google which has been trying to get business customers to use their cloud computing based services.
Ron Brister, senior manager of global IT operations at Serena said that they are going to use the Google Apps Premier Edition for their email requirements.
