XenDesktop and XenApp coming to Apple iPhone
Citrix has announced that they are working on XenDesktop and XenApp client and server software for the Apple iPhone platform.
They aim to make available these applications by the first half of next year on the Apple iPhone.
A company representative said: “We expect to have it sooner rather than later.”
Citrix said that they noticed enormous demand for these products on the iPhone platform.
Chris Fleck, vice president of Solutions Development at Citrix added: “Your entire XP or Vista desktop and all your apps are available in that virtual desktop with all the inherent security and manageability that is currently available on remote desktops now.”
They already have similar solutions on the Windows Mobile and Symbian powered devices.
