Voice and Video Chat coming to Google Gmail!
If you were thinking that Google has done enough with Gmail, think again!
The company has announced that they are all set to add two new major features to Gmail webmail service.
These two new services are: Voice and Video chat. From within Gmail webmail system!
We are yet to get these two new features in our Gmail accounts but they are likely to be made available pretty soon.
A company representative said: “We’ve tried to make this an easy-to-use, seamless experience, with high-quality audio and video. And we’ve built this product using Internet standards, such as XMPP, RTP, and the newly-standardized H.264/SVC video codec.”
Users can get access to the video chat feature by going to a special page and downloading the required plugin.
Both sides would require the plug-in to make use of it.
