U.S. Military launches TroopTube!
US troops finally have their own edition of YouTube. And it’s called TroopTube.
TroopTube has been launched by the US military in collaboration with Seattle based startup Delve Networks.
This video sharing service is for US military personals and their families.
The need for this service was felt after the US military banned access to services like YouTube last year.
It enables the web users to register on the website as members of one of the branches of the armed forces. It is also open to family, civilian Defense Department employees and supporters.
Videos can be uploaded from anywhere on the web but they require approval from the Pentagon which checks it for issues like copyright violations and national security.
