Sun promoting Microsoft Live Search Toolbar!
Microsoft and Sun Microsystems are collaborating!
Sun would now include Microsoft Live Toolbar in their installer for Java.
This toolbar is for the Internet Explorer web browser and enables the user to conduct searches on Microsoft Live Search engine.
This deal is somewhat strange as Sun and Microsoft are old rivals. Sun was in fact one of the biggest parties in the Microsoft’s long antitrust battles.
Sun has a similar deal with Yahoo and Google though the deal with Google is nearing its end.
HP is also in a deal with Microsoft to load their personal computers with Live search services.
