Apple rejects CastCatcher 1.3 for consuming too much mobile bandwidth

Apple is in news for rejecting yet another application on the Apple App store.

This time around they have not banned a new application. But an update to an existing one.

Apple rejected the CastCatcher 1.3 update for consuming too much mobile bandwidth.

Apple stated:

CastCatcher Internet Radio cannot be posted to the App Store because it is transferring excessive volumes of data over the cellular network, which as outlined in the iPhone SDK Agreement section 3.3.15, is prohibited

This is pretty surprising because a number of other applications does the same thing. Previous versions were approved and they did the same thing! The new version is unlikely to consume more mobile bandwidth compared to the previous versions!
