Microsoft is going to work with PC manufacturer Dell to establish the hardware infrastructure and related data center design services for their just announced Microsoft Azure Services Platform.
Microsoft’s Azure Services Platform is designed for the cloud computing services and it would become the most potent challenger to Amazon’s EC2 platform.
Dell’s Data Center Solutions division would be working on this project for Microsoft.
Dell said in a statement that the company won the deal to provide server and storage hardware requirements for this new project.
They would be the sole suppliers.
