Yahoo Zimbra now enters the cloud computing market
Yahoo has announced that they are now offering their Zimbra communications and collaboration suite in a cloud computing environment.
Zimbra was only available through third party service providers till now. Companies could also host it on their own servers.
Yahoo would now be providing services powered by Zimbra on their own servers.
John Robb, vice president of product marketing and product management said that Zimbra is currently used by about 400 educational institutions.

The hosted suite for students and alumni is available for US$2 per year per mailbox without advertising. They can also get it free with advertising option.
Zimbra has seen massive growth ever since it was acquired by Yahoo.
