Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Beta coming up
Microsoft has confirmed that they would be releasing the first beta of Windows Vista Service Pack 2 next week.
This next major update to their Vista operating system would come with support for Blu-ray drives along with other enhancements.
Windows executive Mike Nash wrote in a blog post about this update: “Because we’ve adopted a single serviceability model, these improvements are integrated into a single service pack covering both Windows Vista (client) and Windows Server 2008 (server) versions. This should also minimize deployment and testing complexity for our customers.”
Windows Vista SP2 would also add support for other new technologies like Bluetooth 2.1. It would also come bundled with Windows Search 4.0.
The company has issued no potential release date for Vista SP2.
