MySpace Music now offering IODA content

MySpace has announced a deal with digital music distribution company IODA.

This deal enables MySpace to offer IODA content on their MySpace Music service.

MySpace Music as part of this deal gets access to more than 1 million songs from IODA archive.

The two companies did not disclose the financial aspects of this deal which further boosts the value of MySpace Music service.

IODA founder and chief executive Kevin Arnold spoke about the deal with MySpace: “Many of IODA’s labels have been early and active participants in the MySpace Music community, and consider it an essential tool to develop relationships with their fans. We’re happy to bring the opportunity to monetize all of this activity to our clients, and look forward to seeing what an ad-supported streaming model can generate with the resources of MySpace behind it.”

MySpace Music already has media content from the major music labels including EMI Music, SONY BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony ATV.
