Google Android Marketplace: 70% revenues goes to developers
Google has now launched the Android Marketplace mobile store which hosts the third party applications for use on G1 mobile phone.
The store for now offers only free applications.
Google said that they would allow developers to sell their applications for a price starting next year.
The company added that the revenues generated from the Apps would be shared between the developers and the mobile carriers.
Developers would get 70% share which is similar to what Apple pays the developers of Apple iPhone apps.
Google would be keeping a minor share of the transaction as maintenance charges. Apple does not share anything with the mobile service provider.
