Google Android Market to open up to everyone next week
Google G1 has gone on sale in the US market.
Google has also launched the Android Market which offers third party applications for use on this device.
However, the Android Market currently has just around 50 applications.
Google would be opening up the store to third party developers next week which would allow them to offer their own products on the service.
These developers would however be required to register for US$25. Google said that the fee is required to make sure that the interest of the developer is authentic.
One of the interesting aspects of Google Android Marketplace is that there is no approval system. Any developer would be able to offer his application on sale right away.
For now, the applications on the store are going to be free. Google would allow paid applications on the store from next year.
