ShipIt now accepting free orders for Ubuntu 8.10 discs

It is that time of the year when Linux fans wait to get their hands on the second half yearly release of Ubuntu operating system.

Canonical is now accepting orders for free delivery of Ubuntu 8.10 OS through their ShipIt service.

Ubuntu 8.10 is not out yet but it would be before the end of the month.

The service delivers copies of the Ubuntu OS to your doorstep without any cost. Though, they recommend that you download and write it on a CD/DVD for quick access to a copy.

Delivery to some locations might take as long as 10 weeks.
