Microsoft wants Silverlight on Apple iPhone and Google G1

Market sources are hinting that Microsoft is working hard on developing mobile versions of their Silverlight technology that can run on Apple iPhone and Google Android devices.

Getting it to the iPhone might be complicated as Apple makes the final decision. Apple has already rejected the idea of getting Adobe Flash on the device.

Getting Microsoft Silverlight technology on the Google Android platform might be easier for Microsoft as they do not need to get it approved from Google or the phone developer.

Adobe Flash for now is also missing from the Google G1 mobile phone.

It remains to be seen if Silverlight on G1 would entice mobile platform content publishers to adopt it over Adobe Flash.
