Google updates iGoogle with more features
Google has now updated their personalized homepage service iGoogle.
iGoogle users can now have a canvas view of the gadgets they have installed on their personal home pages.
This new feature is currently applicable to 16 new or updated widgets on iGoogle.
The canvas view would enable the providers of these widgets to run advertising supported media content.
Ads are however not allowed on the main page of the iGoogle homepage.
Navigation to different sections is now shifted to the left side instead of the top bar.
Google is slowly rolling out this update to all the users of the iGoogle service.

iGoogle users are finding it very difficult to swallow this new version of the website. Google groups is awash in user complaints about the forced upgrade and poor judgement in the layout of the new iGoogle. Sign the petition on google groups to bring back the old iGoogle layout and let sanity prevail!
