Google Android has a kill switch similar to Apple iPhone
Apple was criticized when it was revealed that the company has a kill switch on their hugely popular Apple iPhone mobile phone.
This gives them the ability to disable applications installed on the mobile device remotely.
Google Android is the new player in the market and the first mobile phone to be powered by this operating system is the HTC G1.
Reports are stating that even this platform has a similar kill switch that is controlled by Google.
The search engine giant reserves the right to remotely remove any application on the mobile handsets which they believe violates the developer distribution agreement.
Google Android is an open platform which enables anyone to contribute to it.
