Symantec announces PC Checkup and PC Tune Up services

Symantec has announced the launch of two online services designed to help home users who do not have the expertise to fix their computers.

These services would be provided through remote access by qualified technicians.

Symantec said that the two services is applicable to customers using Windows XP or Windows Vista operating systems.

Users who do not have any other Norton product can also subscribe to these two services.

PC Checkup is available for USD 29.99. PC Tune Up is available for USD 69.99.

PC Checkup: Symantec technicians would perform a series of test for the user and advice him of any further action required.

PC Tune Up: Symantec technicians would perform the test and then fine tune the operating system for optimum performance.

Lenny Alugas, vice president of Norton Premium Services spoke about these new services: “The biggest competitor in the market is friends and families of people who need to have their computers fixed.”
