Symantec working on Norton Vista User Account Control
User Account Control is one of the most hated features of Windows Vista. People dislike it so much that they turn it off just after a fresh installation of the operating system.
However, User Account Control was designed and developed for a good reason and Symantec has decided to enhance the functionality to make it more user friendly.
Norton Labs is providing an application named Vista User Account Control which replaces the default UAC provided by Microsoft in Vista OS.
This app provides more information on the activities which results in the UAC box and also allows the user to bypass the window for that particular activity permanently.
This application is currently in testing and the company is collecting data so that they can ship the final version with a whitelist of activities which are safe to bypass the UAC.
