Ning deploys OpenSocial
Social networking tools provider Ning has announced that they have now deployed OpenSocial on their services.
They had announced support for the OpenSocial project when it was announced last year.
OpenSocial was started by Google but is now an independent organization.
Ning is for now providing as many as 30 applications which can be used by the users of the service to include in their profile pages.
They are working on further enhancing the support for OpenSocial on their services.
OpenSocial CEO Gina Bianchini said in a statement: “In its first incarnation, it looks and feels a lot like what you’d be doing on a MySpace profile or on a Facebook profile in terms of adding apps. but what’s unique about us is that we have half a million social networks and they’ll want an app for their network as well.”
