Yahoo! Calendar application updated to become more user friendly
Google Calendar has become hugely popular because of its intuitive interface and other features.
Yahoo is not staying behind as they have now launched a beta edition of updated Calendar service.
The company has now enhanced their web based calendar service to make it compatible with rival services from Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft.
It is also more ajaxified as users can perform various tasks without reloading the webpage.
It also comes with a To-Do feature which is sadly missing from Google Calendar.
The service supports alerts through emails, IM messages and SMS. Users can personalize their own calendars by importing images hosted on Flickr.
The company aims to provide integrated services on Yahoo Calendar in the coming months.
Sadly, the application refuses to work on Google Chrome as they are not yet detecting it properly. We ended up landing on this error message:

Email messages won’t open. At the bottom of the inbox page it is loading the calendar and won’t stop the activity. Since I can’t open my yahoo mail I gave you my alternate email address.
