RealDVD sales suspended
RealNetworks has now been ordered to suspend the sales of their recently launched software product RealDVD.
RealDVD enables the user to make copies of their owned DVDs onto their computers. The copy is encrypted and cannot be copied to another machine.
The sales have now been suspended due to the ongoing lawsuit filed by Motion Picture Association of America.
Motion Picture Association of America has claimed that the software enables the user to make copies of the movies which amounts to piracy. They claim that the software is in violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
